Yes, they have done it again! Rimmel have released yet another show stopping product for us thrifty make up addicts. This time it is a new addition to the Scandal eyes collection - an eye shadow paint.
Cream blushers, highlighters and eye shadows seem to be the biggest craze in the beauty world at the moment and the high street are catching up fast.
The official launch date of these was July the 10th and they come in 5 metallic toned shades, from blues to copper tones. The packaging looks similar to a lip gloss and the shadow is applied with a soft doe-foot applicator.
I apply the shadow across the eye lid and quickly buff it out with an eye shadow brush to avoid any creases. This has to be done fast as the formula of the shadow when applied is thick and wet but dries almost instantly and when it is set, that's it there is no budging it.
The formula can be built to create a rich brown smokey look or just a small amount for a transparent glow. Although this is the only colour (Rich Russet) that really stood out for me, fingers crossed Rimmel will bring out some more shades, like a champaign or black for a dramatic smokey look.
Overall I can't recommend this product enough for only £4.99 the texture, pigmentation and staying power is amazing. They claim to be waterproof and don't budge or smudge when rubbed which is great for the hot summer months, but they do glide off with ease with a good cleanser.
